For this year’s forecast report, we surveyed 600 HR and People Ops leaders to get a pulse on the evolving landscape of leave management. For the third year in a row, the majority of our respondents reported an increase in leave requests. We also saw a shift in the reasons people are requesting leave, and that fewer organizations seem to be adding new paid leave policies than last year. However, many challenges have persisted year over year, and leave management is only getting more difficult.
Resourcing HR with more efficient and compliant ways to manage leave is critical to keeping up in the years to come. This report highlights both the challenges HR faces in 2025, as well as the ways HR teams would improve their programs.
